Xavier Castle, N Spain. St Francis Xavier SJ was a college roommate of St Ignatius at the University of Paris. Xavier was bright, athletic and from a prominent family. Ignatius gradually won him over to devote his life to serving Christ. Xavier became one of the great missionaries in the history of the Church, preaching and teaching in Asia, including parts of India and Japan.
